Holding you for the first time was like magic to Dean. At first he had refused – telling your mother that he couldn't risk to hurt you – that he truly feared to touch you with those hands – hands that had killed so many. Although most of them were demons – he just didn't want to touch that tiny innocent human with those filthy hands. Your mother had smiled softly and handed you to him – declining all of his protests and then – when he finally held you he looked at you with awe and adoration as if you were the most perfect thing he had ever seen and for Dean it was just like that. You were perfect in every way. Your tiny face, those tiny fingers just everything and for Dean Winchester you were one of the only good things he had done in his life.

The first time he laid his eyes on you he just knew what he had to do. He had to love you, to cherish you, to adore you – to keep you save from all evil he had seen.

Sadly he couldn't keep you safe from all evil. Keeping you safe from all evil meant to let you go and although he wished for you to have a perfect apple pie life – oh how he wished it – he wouldn't no – he couldn't let you go. You were his daughter – his offspring – his little adorable princess. His everything.He could never let you go.

“Dean?” the soft and sleepy voice of your mother filled the silent room. “Are you alright? You are so unusual quiet, darling”

The man snapped out of his thoughts and looked at his wife. “Yeah everything alright, babe – You just go to sleep. I'll take care of her” He grinned and your mother smiled happily. Within the next couple of minutes she was out cold – snoring softly.

Dean – still grinning – turned to you again only to watch your tiny chest rising and falling. It was a slow and peaceful pace and Dean was sure that you had – just like your mother – fallen asleep. He chuckled softly until he finally said something. “I love you already princess and I promise you”
He held his breath for a second – fighting the tears whom slowly formed in his eyes. His voice was just above a whisper when he finally continued. “... I promise you I'll keep you safe – I'll do anything in my life to protect you my little princess.” He swallowed hard and stroke your cheek gently with his thumb. It was a scary feeling – this urge to protect you – to keep you away from all evil.

“I might not be the best Dad you could wish for little princess a-and I might hurt your feelings someday, but I will always love you – remember that. I love you more than anything. You are my princess, (y/n) – my tiny, cute adorable princess”
With those words the oldest Winchester kissed your forehead as careful and as soft as he could as if he feared to break you. You moved your tiny hands to his face, grabbing his nose only to smile softly at him. Dean starred at you in disbelieve for a second and then he cried. He just couldn't hold those feelings back anymore.

Dean Winchester cried – but it wasn't like the time his own father had died. He wasn't like that time his mother had died and It surely wasn't out of sadness. Those tears – they were happy tears. Tears that he cried only for you, because although he might not be the best Dad when you grow up – He would always protect you. You know why?

Because you were his princess. His adorable, tiny, cute princess he would cherish his whole life – just because he loved you more than anything in his life.
